A Better Understanding Of Your Money

We built this firm to provide clients with independent, customized advice without the conflicts associated with larger brokerage firms and banks. Here’s what to expect when you work with us:

Our first meeting is an understanding of your goals and what you would like to accomplish over the next 10, 20 or 30+ years. We’ll go through a list of about 25 goals we typically help clients plan for over the course of their lifetime. The end result is us uncovering the foundation for all of our planning. From there we can fill in the gaps between where you are, and where you want to go.

Before you make a decision to work with us, we’ll actually build out an initial plan showing you exactly what we would be doing for you should you become a client. We’ll go over strategies, recommendations and exactly what you would be invested in. This way you can make an informed decision before choosing to become a client or not. There is no charge for this service, it is simply to allow you to do your due diligence. We have found clients prefer to be able to compare advisors by seeing tangible results, rather than simply making a decision based on a personality gut instinct.

 

In our second meeting we’ll go over a summary of your exact current financial position and exactly what you are on pace for if you never make any changes. This snapshot allows clients to set expectations for the future and understand exactly where they sit. In this meeting we’ll also go over our initial recommendations for you. We’ll cover everything from Investment planning, tax planning, risk management, estate planning and another other aspects of financial planning as they pertain specifically to you.

We’ll then outline a step by step process for implementing your planning based on your priorities. Every client situation is different and we’ll work with you to ensue we build a comprehensive structure and take all the time necessary to educate you about the different aspects that make up your financial life.

Please note that the average new client takes between 3-6 months to fully implement a proper financial plan. Transferring investment accounts, setting up wills, applying for insurance policies can all take time. It’s important that we do it properly from the start and we want to ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Once we’ve implemented all recommended strategies we’ll want to meet to follow up and ensure we haven’t missed any steps. Regular ongoing meetings are necessary at least once a year to review goals and make adjustments. It’s important to remember that planning isn’t an event, but rather a process. This is a process we very much look forward to going through with you.
